Privacy statement

Local by design

MirrorZen is designed to work locally on your Windows PC. It does not include analytics, advertising, tracking or telemetry. It does not send your mirrored screen, recordings, screenshots, receiver name, connection history or crash logs to MirrorZen.

Account data

If you create a MirrorZen account, Supabase processes your email address, account identifier, email-verification status and subscription status so you can sign in and restore Pro access. The Windows app stores a refresh token in Windows Credential Manager and does not store your password.

Checkout and billing

MirrorZen Pro checkout and billing are handled by Paddle, our merchant-of-record payment provider. Paddle processes billing contact, transaction, tax and payment information under its own privacy terms. MirrorZen receives the customer, product, price, subscription and billing-status identifiers needed to grant Pro access. MirrorZen does not receive or store your full payment-card number.

Data stored on the PC

MirrorZen stores preferences in your Windows user profile. Connection History stores the device name and model reported by the AirPlay connection plus the connection time. Captures are saved in your Videos folder.

Crash logs

Local crash logs contain the MirrorZen version, UTC time, exception type, error code and a cleaned technical stack trace. They do not intentionally include account names, device identifiers, IP addresses, mirrored content or local file paths.

Service providers

Supabase provides account authentication and subscription-status storage. Paddle provides checkout, payment processing, taxes, invoices and subscription billing. These providers process data only for those service purposes and under their own privacy terms.

Update checks

When automatic update checks are enabled and a public release feed is configured, MirrorZen contacts that HTTPS feed to read version information. A downloaded installer is accepted only after its SHA-256 checksum is verified.

Your controls

You can disable automatic update checks in Settings, clear Connection History from its tab, sign out to remove the saved session from Windows Credential Manager and delete captures or crash logs from their local folders. Uninstalling MirrorZen removes the installed application. User-created captures and local diagnostic data are kept unless you choose to delete them.

Network use

AirPlay discovery and streaming use your local network. The bundled receiver may use network services required by AirPlay and video playback. MirrorZen does not operate a cloud relay for mirrored content.

Retention and requests

Account and billing records are kept while needed to provide the service, meet tax and accounting duties, resolve disputes and prevent fraud. You may request account access, correction or deletion by email. Some billing records may have to be retained where required by law.
